THE REVELATION TO JOHN

Yeshua Ha Meshiach - Jesus the Messiah

The key to the future lies in the past.
Chapters 1-8
Chapters 9-15
Chapters 16-22

"Let justice flow like a river, and righteousness like a never ending stream."

- Amos 5:24

Were you there when I made the world? Who decided how large it would be? What holds up the pillars that support the earth? Who laid the corner-stone of the world, while the morning stars sang together, and all the angels shouted for joy? Who closed the gates to hold back the sea? It was I who covered the sea with clouds and wrapped it in darkness. Have you ever commanded a day to dawn? Have you ordered the dawn to seize the earth? Have you been to the springs in the depths of the sea? Have you any idea how big the world is? Do you know where the light comes from, or what the source of darkness is? Who endowed the heart with wisdom, or gave understanding to the mind? Have you been to the place where the sun comes up or the place from which the east wind blows? Can you tie the Pleides together or loosen the bonds that hold Orion? Can you guide the stars season by season and direct the Great and the Little Bear? Do you know the laws that govern the skies and make them apply to the earth? Can you shout orders to the clouds and make them drench you with rain?
- from The Book of Job

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not understood it.
- from The Gospel of John

Yeshua

By wisdom the Lord laid the earth's foundations.
By understanding He set the heavens in place.
By His knowledge the depths were divided, and the clouds let drop the dew.
- [Proverbs 3:19-20]

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne;
Love and faithfulness go before you, O Lord.
- [Ps. 89:14]

"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is, who was and who is to come, the Almighty".

He has showed you what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?
- [Micah 6:8]

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
[Matthew 5:17-18]

Ask, Seek, Knock
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
[Matthew 7:7-8]

I saw the tears of the oppressed
And they have no comforter
Power was on the side of their oppressors
And they have no comforter.

In the place of judgement -
Wickedness was there
In the place of justice -
Iniquity was there.

I have seen the burden God has laid on men
He has made everything beautiful in its time
He has also set eternity in the hearts of men
Yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

- from the Book of Ecclesiastes

Does not Wisdom call out?
Does not Understanding raise her voice?
On the heights along the way
where the paths meet, she takes her stand;
beside the gates leading into the city,
At the entrances she cries aloud:

To you, O man, I call out;
I raise my voice to all mankind,
By me kings reign
And rulers make laws that are just.
I love those who love me
And those who seek me find me.
My fruit is better than fine gold;
What I yield surpasses silver.
I walk in the way of righteousness
Along the paths of justice.

The Lord brought me forth as the first of his works,
Before his deeds of old;
I was appointed from eternity,
From the beginning, before the foundation of the world.

Her ways are pleasant ways
And all her paths are peace.

- from Proverbs

Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight;
I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations.
He will not quarrel or cry out; no-one will hear his voice in the streets.
A bruised reed he will not break, and a smouldering wick he will not snuff out.
In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;
He will not falter or be discouraged,
He will establish justice on the earth.
In his name the nations will put their hope.

- [Isaiah 42:1-4]

The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the whole world.
He will proclaim justice to the nations

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
- [2 Corinthians 3:17]

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
- [John 8:32]

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
- [John 3:16]

The Temptation of Jesus:
Jesus returned from Jordan full of the Holy Spirit and was led by the Spirit into the desert, where he was tempted by the Devil for 40 days. In all that time he ate nothing, so that he was hungry when it was over.

The Devil said to him, "If you are God's Son, order this stone to turn into bread."

But Jesus answered, "The scripture says, 'Man cannot live on bread alone, but needs every word that God speaks.'"

Then the Devil took him up and showed him in an instant all the glory and splendour of the kingdoms of the world. "I will give you all this power and all this wealth," the Devil told him. "It has been handed over to me, and I can give it to anyone I choose. All this will be yours, then, if you worship me."

Jesus answered, "The scripture says, 'Worship the Lord your God and serve only him!"

Then the Devil took him to Jerusalem and set him on the highest point of the Temple, and said to him, "If you are God's Son, throw yourself down from here. For the scripture says, 'God will order his angels to take good care of you.' It also says, 'They will hold you up with their hands so that not even your feet will be hurt on the stones.'"

But Jesus answered, "The scripture says, 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'"

When the Devil finished tempting Jesus in every way, he left him for a while.
- from the Gospel of Luke

JESUS IS LORD

Signs of the end of the age:
Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. "Do you see all these things?" he asked. "I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down."

Massada

As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, tell us when this will happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"

Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you, for many will come in my name claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There shall be famines and earthquakes in diverse places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Destruction of the 2nd Temple in 70 AD

So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation', spoken of through the prophet Daniel-let the reader understand-then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray that your flight does not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great distress, unequalled from the beginning of the world until now-and never to be equalled again. If those days had not been cut short, no-one would survive, but for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened. At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect-if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time.

"So if anyone tells you 'There he is out in the desert', do not go out; or, 'Here he is in the inner rooms', do not believe it. For as lightening that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

"Immediately after the distress of those days

"'the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.'

All the nations of the earth will mourn

"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, and with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.

"Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, even at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

"No-one knows the day or the hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man..."
- from the Gospel of Matthew

Daniel and King Nebuchadnezzar's dream: (Babylonian Empire ca. 585 BC)

Your Majesty, in your vision you saw standing before you a giant statue, bright and shining and terrible to look at. Its head was made of the finest gold; its chest and arms were made of silver; its waiste and hips of bronze; its legs of iron, and its feet partly of iron and partly of clay. While you were looking at it, a great stone broke loose from a cliff without anyone touching it, struck the iron and clay feet of the statue, and shattered them. At once the iron, clay, bronze, silver, and gold crumbled and became like the dust on a threshing-floor. The wind carried it all away, leaving not a trace. But the stone grew to be a mountain that covered the whole earth.

This was the dream. Now I will tell you what it means. Your Majesty, you are the greatest of all kings. The God of heaven has made you emperor, and given you power, might and honour. He has made you ruler of all the inhabited earth and ruler over all the animals and birds. You are the head of gold. After you there will be another empire, not as great as yours, and after that a third, an empire of bronze, which will rule the whole earth. And then there will be a fourth empire as strong as iron, which shatters and breaks everything. And just as iron shatters everything; it will shatter and crush all the earlier empires. You also saw that the feet and toes were partly clay and partly iron. This means that it will be a divided empire. It will have something of the strength of iron, because there was iron mixed with the clay. The toes - partly iron and partly clay - means that part of the empire will be strong and part of it weak. You also saw that the iron was mixed with the clay. This means that the rulers of that empire will try to unite their families by intermarriage, but they will not be able to, any more than iron can mix with clay. At the time of those rulers the God of heaven will establish a kingdom that will never end. It will never be conquered, but will completely destroy all those empires, and then last forever. You saw how a stone broke loose from a cliff without anyone touching it and it struck the statue made of iron, bronze, clay, silver and gold. The great God is telling Your Majesty what will happen in the future. I have told you exactly what you dreamt, and have given you its true meaning.

The Beasts of Daniel are 4 ancient world empires: Babylon, Medo-Persia, Grecia, Rome

In the first year that Belshazzar was king of Babylon, I had a dream and saw a vision in the night. I wrote the dream down, and this is the record of what I saw that night:

Winds were blowing from all directions and lashing the surface of the ocean. Four huge beasts came up out of the ocean, each one different from the others. The first one looked like a lion, but had the wings of an eagle.While I was watching, the wings were torn off. The beast was lifted up and made to stand like a man. And then a human mind was given to it.

The second beast looked like a bear standing on its hind legs. It was holding three ribs between its teeth, and a voice said to it, "Go on, eat as much meat as you can!"

While I was watching, another beast appeared. It looked like a leopard, but on its back there were four wings, like the wings of a bird, and it had four heads. It had a look of authority about it.

As I was watching, a fourth beast appeared. It was powerful, horrible, terrifying. With its huge iron teeth it crushed its victims, and then it trampled on them. Unlike the other beasts it had ten horns, and I saw a little horn coming up amongst the others. It tore out three of the horns that were already there. This horn had human eyes and a mouth that was boasting proudly.

While I was looking, thrones were put in place. One who had been living for ever sat down on one of the thrones. His clothes were white as snow, and his hair was like pure wool. His throne, mounted on fiery wheels, was blazing with fire, and a stream of fire was pouring out from it. There were many thousands of people there to serve him, and millions of people stood before him. The court began its session and the books were opened.

While I was looking, I could still hear the little horn bragging and boasting. As I watched, the fourth beast was killed, and its body thrown into the flames and destroyed. The other beasts had their power taken away, but they were permitted to go on living for a limited time.

During this vision in the night, I saw what looked like a human being. He was approaching me, surrounded by clouds, and he went to the one who had been living for ever and was presented to him. He was given authority, honor, and royal power, so that the people of all nations, races, and languages would serve him. His authority would last for ever, and his kingdom would never end.

- from Daniel 7
